fontgombault Professor White inspired my lifelong love for the works of Shakespeare, Dante, Cervantes and many other lights of literature when these lectures were given twenty (or more) years ago. He is my teacher and mentor, though sadly we have never met! He is simply the best!

about

Commentaries by Professor David Allen White PhD, given at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona, Minnesota, July 18 - 19, 2002.

Dr. David Allen White examines the contribution of Shakespeare to literature and the manner in which he is viewed by members of the modern educational establishment. In order to illustrate the contrast between Shakespeare and the modern world, Dr. White analyzes Romeo & Juliet. Finally, Dr. White brings forth the circumstantial evidence which suggests that the "Bard" was indeed a faithful - if perhaps cowardly - Catholic.
